Inspiring male chefs

We’ve noticed recently that there are some great up-and-coming male role models in the food industry.

Take 24 year old Hayden Quinn for example; a surfer who loves spending time at the beach, was introduced to us all on MasterChef last year, and recently named 2012 Bachelor of the Year. He is helping to inspire a younger generation of males to cook, and showing them just how much they can achieve if they set their minds to it.

The quintessential Aussie bloke has had somewhat of a makeover!

Other young chefs Dan Hong and Brent Savage are pushing the boundaries at their restaurants Ms G’s and The Bentley.

At The Bentley, Brent has a number of game dishes including a Duck Liver Foie Gras Parfait, served with Pickled Carrot & Cocoa. It is unique and brave combinations of flavour like this that have strengthened his reputation within the industry.

Dan Hong has an amazing talent, and drawing on his Vietnamese heritage, he re-writes the Asian restaurant rulebook in some amazing dishes that keep the critics and hungry diners coming back for more.

We’re always eagerly awaiting the next great creations from these two chefs!

Chefs like these inspire us at Game Farm to create recipes that not only taste and look delicious, but can also be cooked by home chefs, such as our Crispy Crumbed Quail Baguette with Roasted Tomato Chilli Jam. It can be served as a light lunch snack on the weekend, or when friends come round for a quick bite to eat during the week.

At a later date, we will feature some of the talented female chefs making their mark in the industry.
